Hitsuji!

She'll be introduced alongside Uma in chapter 5.

Name: Hitsuji (羊)

Zodiac Position: 8th

Hitsuji is a bit of a weak character. She shares a close bond with Uma, both by proxy of their zodiac positions and by the fact that they are both hooved animals. Although her appearance suggests she may be outgoing, she is actually quite shy. As such, like Uma, she dislikes fighting and prefers taking the diplomatic route to confrontations.

Her chosen weapon are a pair of tonfa that she uses defensively. She ranks quite highly among the zodiacs in the speed department, though she is not as fast as Nezumi or Saru.

Uhh well, it would be if I didn't cut out the other sketches. OH WELL.

Gijinka Tora and Inu. I toyed briefly with the idea of them having this as an "alternate, human-world" form, but since I don't intend to write them having any human world interactions any time soon, the idea was scrapped.

I... don't really know.

Many, many apologies for neglecting this blog recently, Aion among other things has been chewing up my time.

I've recently gotten a few comments to increase the update frequency, and trust me that has been something I've been thinking about for weeks. Right now I don't think I can trust myself to churn out enough pages for a twice weekly update. If things change though and I can get enough time to draw more comics, then I certainly will. :)

Anyway, I scanned my sketchbook today to share some of these here. It took almost the whole afternoon, but by the time I trimmed them down it was only these that made the cut... oh well.

Three new characters (not including Saru) are gonna be introduced in chapter 3, the two on the left are Battle commentators, and the one on the right is Den, Saru's guardian.

Last Artslam post. Of course, that doesn't mean I won't be posting sketches anymore! ^^

These three are totally BFFs. (or at least, I'm setting them up to be. eventually.) Even if Tora and Inu do hate each other's guts.

Artslam day 14

I always seem to update for Artslam after midnight. |D

After sketching this, I realised I draw Tora quite a lot.

So I decided to do a group image of all the good guys. I'll do up one of Neko-tachi tomorrow, hopefully. (going to watch HBP, hope I don't get too distracted haha) I kind of had the Power Rangers movie poster in mind when I drew this, lol.

unexpected hiatus

Apologies for the lack of posts recently; my host, Dragoncity has been down for server moves for the past few weeks, and has only just come back up temporarily. Dragoncity mods, I wish you guys luck in moving to the new servers!

Anyways, I've signed up to a community called Artslam on LiveJournal, where the goal is to draw at least one piece of concept art a day. Of course, I've chosen to do mine on ZB. I had originally intended to cross post the art posts here, but Dragoncity happened to go down at the same time.
